By shifting their heaviest electricity use — like laundry or electrical vehicle charging — to off-peak 小时, Time 使用 customers use less energy during high-demand times of the day, help reduce the demand on the system, pay less for their electricity, and potentially reduce their overall power bill.
If you are interested in switching to the Time 使用 plan, it is important to first identify how much energy you currently use and when you are using it:
- If you are using less than 800 kilowatt 小时 (kWh) per month, the Standard Residential plan may still be your best option.
- If you are using more than 800 kWh per month and can shift your use, the Time 使用 plan may work for you. If you enroll in Time 使用 and do not shift your energy use, your electricity bill may remain the same or even go up.
